My roots trace back to Rome, Georgia,  where I studied art at Shorter College. There I met Mildred Huie of St. Simons  Island ,Georgia. This is where I developed my love of the low country and its array of colors and textures.

I work primarily with acrylics using a spray bottle of water to wash the paints over the canvas. The multiple color washes are manipulated into creating the desired image and/or mood.

I enjoy spending as much time as possible on or near water. Many of my pieces are directly influenced by my experiences. I love recreating the mirror reflection depicted in a still body of water.
